How to Vote
Registered to Vote? Have you moved lately?

To determine if you are, and to verify that the registered information is correct:

Call or stop by the La Plata County Clerk’s Office (970-382-6296).

Check online: GoVoteColorado.gov.

ID Needed to Vote (first time only). Photo ID NOT required!
When you show up at the poll - or mail in your first ballot - you will need one of the following forms of identification that confirms you are registered to vote in Colorado:

Colorado Driver’s License;

Dept of Revenue ID Card;

US Passport;
-
[Any level] Government Employee ID with Photo;

Pilots License by FAA or other authorized agency;

Military ID with Photo;
-
CURRENT Utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other gov't doc showing name and address of the elector; or
-
Medicare / Medicaid Card;
-
Certified Copy US Birth Certificate;
-
Certified Copy Naturalization Documents​;
-
Valid Student ID.
-
Valid Veteran's ID;
-
Valid tribal membership card;
-
Vertification that voter is a resident of a group residential facility.

You may register to vote up to / including Election Day!

Colorado DL;
-
If none, then last 4 of social security number;

A person who is eligible to register by has neither a CO DL/ ID nor a SSN will be assigned a unique identifying.
